Trevor N. Tamashiro joined Apo Reck & Kusachi in November 2023. Prior to joining the firm his practice focused on commercial and construction litigation, drafting and negotiating construction contracts, matters relating public procurement law, and general corporate affairs. He has successfully represented private contractors in HRS Chapter 103D procurement hearings and subsequent appeals.
Trevor has served as In House Counsel for a large general contractor and as Associate General Counsel at a public utility. He has litigated, arbitrated, and mediated various construction and commercial disputes in both the State and Federal District Courts of Hawaii.
Trevor received his Bachelor of Arts degree in economics from Willamette University and Masters in Business Administration from the Shidler College of Business. He received his Juris Doctor degree from the William S. Richardson School of Law, with a certificate in Environmental Law. During law school, he served as Technical Editor of the University of Hawaii Law Review, worked on numerous civil rights and social justice projects in the Scholar Advocacy Program, and published a comment in the Asian Pacific Law and Policy Journal, “Molokai: Resurrecting Aha Moku on the ‘Last Hawaiian Island.’”
He is licensed to practice law in the State of Hawaii and its District Courts.
During his free time, Trevor enjoys surfing, golfing, traveling, and spending time with his family and friends.
