Astrid is a dedicated mother, artist, and community member on the island of Maui. She has called Maui home for seven years, living and creating on the beautiful island. Astrid sold her art on Front Street in Lahaina, interacting with tourists from around the world while collaborating with other local artists. She is committed to giving back to the Maui community through volunteering her time and energy. Recently, Astrid survived the fires that devastated Lahaina Town, which has only strengthened her dedication to helping restore and rebuild the spirit of the community.

‍Why did you choose to join the HECO Lawsuit team?

‍Astrid joined the HECO law team because she believed this was the beginning for the people of Lahaina to rebuild their incredible town. She was impressed by the care and support the team has provided her during these challenging months since the fire, and it inspired her to give back to her community.
